Dad,
You said Sarah is "...a lovely girl..". Well, we got married on 19th August. It was a lovely day, everyone had a happy, joyous time. You would have loved it. The only sad thing about the wedding was that you were not there to see how happy I am now.

At secondary school Brian was a great chap to grow up with, not the class clown - that was 'Billy' Bowles (who went on to become a respected newspaper reporter) - Brian was the class actor, who could express what we were all feeling, but were not so outgoing. At football, I can't remember what level he played, but he played in the style of the beautiful game. Remembered with a smile. Alan Doel

I will always remember how even in your worst health you maintained your sense of humour and bubbly personality. Something that i shall try to replicate. Love you lots, you will be missed. May you rest in peace,
